Welcome to University Park!

University Park is a 110 year old neighborhood squeezed between the bluff above the Willamette River and busy Lombard Street. It is rich in green spaces and is home to the University of Portland and the Lombard business strip (a pleasant mix of old and new).

We love our little piece of Portland, so whether you’re new or lived here your whole life, we invite you to learn more about what’s happening in your neighborhood and get involved!

Stop by one of our monthly Board meetings (which are always open to the public) or introduce yourself to other neighbors at our quarterly General Meetings!

Curious for more?

  1. Hello! I would like to advertise my babysitting services (I am a college graduate here for over the summer), I was wondering if it was okay to hand out fliers or hang them on public places (such as in the park area)? Thank you!

  2. Happy Monday,

I am contacting you on behalf of The Aspire Project, a neighborhood nonprofit dance organization in St. Johns. We offer ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, yoga and fitness classes for 300 students each term ages 3 to adult. At The Aspire Project no student is turned away! It is our focus is to offer classes for students and families who could otherwise not afford the opportunity.

We are growing and hosting Raising the Barre, our first annual fundraising gala, on October 21st. We invite you to join us! Would you be willing to share the event with the community either through email and/or by adding it to your calendar? We’d greatly appreciate it. Look forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks for your time!

  3. Come meet Portland City Council candidate, and current Multnomah County Commissioner, Loretta Smith.

Loretta and her volunteers have been canvassing in the St. John’s area the last two weeks and will wrap up Saturday August 11 with an opportunity to meet her.

Come by Leisure Public House 8002 N. Lombard between 4:30 and 5:30 Saturday the 11th.

She will be out on the back patio relaxing with volunteers, waiting to say hello.

Come share your concerns about St. Johns, North Portland, or Portland more generally.

Come join the conversation. Or just come by and Say Hey.

  4. Hello-Just wondering if the meeting is still on for tonight (10/28)? It’s not on the upcoming events list. Thank you.
